CAN Bridge Support request

Tim,

I appreciate you digging into this a bit. Our client took a look at his machine which has a couple of IXXAT CAN bridges and this is what he sent me:

IXXAT

CAN to CAN Gateway

CAN Bridge V1.3

FW 1.1.3.0 HW V1.2 BeA 31/’13

HW 328385

Looks like this guy (according to our client):

On page 20 of this document I found the following screenshot which seems to imply that I can attached to the CAN bridge with a D-SUB cable and download the current configuration which is what I’m looking to confirm before on on-site visit.

Hi Mike,

Unfortunately from what we’ve seen it doesn’t seem like there is a way to upload from the device to see what the configuration is, apart from the filename. This was intended to be used so that if you had the configuration backed up that you could find which one was being used by the name.

Thanks for looking this up. Not necessarily what we were hoping to hear, but at least we will be prepared to put together the configuration files ourselves.
