Copy defined tags to another Flexy

What’s the correct procedure to copy over all defined tags and I/O servers from one flexy to another one?

Hi Lars,

The easiest way to do this would probably be to push the files onto the devices through FTP with something like Filezilla and grab the config.txt file for the IO servers/tags

Hey Lucas, What do you mean when you say add pages? It should be able to just grab the tags from the var_lst and import them when you put the file on the other device

Generally I don’t recommend that people use the tag generator just because it’s not something that was developed by HMS. But it is possible to do this through excel or notepad. I’d recommend going into filezilla and grabbing both of the var_lst files and then downloading them like below [image] If you open it in excel and select one of the cells, you can go to Data > Text to Columns > Delimited > Semicolon > General > Finish. But that file contains more than the tags it looks like.
It has user and network settings too.

You should just be able to delete the lines that you don’t want in the config.txt file and upload it. It should only be able to add or append files but not remove any
