Cosy 131, bolt and Nat

Hi

I have a setup with an Ewon Cosy 131 where we have set up Nat1:1 for a PLC.
The setup have been tested with a cabled connection and we are able to connect to the devices attached without connecting with the ecatcher.
We want to have the Ewon Cosy 131 connected with a Bolt. We have set up the Bolt and connected to the Ewon. We are able to see the Ewon in the ecatcher and connect to it and also the devices behind is this setup.
But we are not able to connect to the routed devices when not using the ecatcher.
we have been informed that this is because our Wifi AP is only recieving the IP adress of the Ewon and not the Routed devices.
Can you help us solve this issue

Hello @flevi, I think there are a few factors that could get in the way one being if the Bolt is on the WAN or the LAN. More importantly this may be an issue with the Wireless network. AS you mention the Wifi AP only receives one MAC address, this is how the Bolt is designed to work. The Bolt has two modes when acting as a wireless client. One mode for a single client, MAC clone, and a second, layer 3 bridge, for multiple clients. Both only using one MAC address to the AP. MAC clone mode clones the LAN devices MAC and only that devices traffic is sent over the wireless network. Layer 3 modes uses the Bolts MAC and forwards all traffic over later 3. This mode can cause some issues with wireless controllers since it sees multiple IP addresses from one MAC.

Take a look at the App notes here: Anybus Files and Documentation

In particular Wireless Bolt - Ethernet Network to Existing WLAN & Wireless Bolt - Single Ethernet Node to WLAN
