Cosy 131 Plus using high amouns of data

One of our Cosy 131’s recently started consuming large amounts of data. From the logs, it appears that it occurs when connected to M2Web. Recently (this past hour) it consumed almost 12Gb in 42 minutes. I had connected to the Cosy via M2Web, to disable BroadcastFowarding thinking that may be the issue. I then rebooted the Ewon but left the M2Web open while and after the Ewon reboot which is the 42 minutes noted above.

This amount of data consumption seems excessive given the usage: 15Gb in 42 minutes. Other settings:
NatItif set to 3 (default)
FwrdToWAN set to 0 (defaults)
BroadcastFowarder set to 0 (default)

I’d like to determine what is consuming the data and why. Closing M2WEb seems to have stopped the bleeding.

Thank you.

Rich

What firmware version is this Ewon using?

When you say you left M2Web open, I just want to clarify are you talking about the web page here where you see KPIs, etc.?: https://m2web.talk2m.com/

Jack

Jack, Firmware on the Cosy 131+ is 21.2s1 1376258. The M2Web page left open was one level below the page from the above link; i.e. showing the specific Ewon image rather than a list of all Ewons. Thanks

There is some info here that may help:
https://support.hms-networks.com/hc/en-us/articles/6857710602386-The-VPN-traffic-is-too-high-how-can-I-reduce-the-number-of-GB-used-

I would suggest going to our support portal and making a ticket here. If you could do that and send a backup of the Ewon with support files, we could offer some more suggestions. Also, if you could go to eCatcher under Account and get a report to send that shows data usage from the connection, that could really help as well.

Jack
