COSY 131 Ports

Does the Internet Port (#4) on a COSY 131 allow switching or is it solely a gateway port? For example, the customer supplies a connection to their LAN which is connected to Internet. The machine network is also on this network. They need access to machine network. If there LAN connection is plugged in to port 4, will this work for both local connectivity and remote for me?

Unfortunately, If their LAN connection is plugged into port 4 (Default WAN port) then this will cause a WAN/LAN IP conflict. The eWON has 2 interfaces, a LAN and a WAN which have IPs associated to them.

If the WAN and LAN IPs are in the same subnet then the eWON is unable to route to the internet due to an IP conflict which makes configuration impossible.

I would suggest moving the machine network to a unique subnet so the eWON is able to route to the internet / create an outbound VPN tunnel to our servers. If they need access to the eWON’s LAN devices on the eWON’s WAN (Plant network) then we can use our NAT 1:1 feature to map those LAN devices to the WAN.
