COSY 131 WAN Failover

We already do this type of functionality on a Flexy 201 via scripting.

We have a COSY 131 that has Ethernet and Cellular, is it possible to set up a failover
similar to what we have achieved on the Flexy?

Will it come online automatically?

You can absolutely do this on the Cosy 131. It’s even easier than the Flexy because it doesn’t require any fancy scripting!

To set this up, You will need to run through the internet wizard twice.

1) choose the modem connection (Cellular WAN) and set up your Cellular connection for triggered.

If you are unfamiliar on how to setup a Cellular WAN, please see the following instructions:

2) After you have successfully passed the internet wizard and you are using a Triggered Cellular WAN (SMS to wake up), you just need to run through the internet wizard one more time but this time choose the ETHERNET option.

After successfully passing the internet wizard using Ethernet, you will now be using an Ethernet WAN, however you will be able to wake up your device via the Cellular WAN (SMS to wake up) if your device’s ethernet WAN fails.

Update:

WAN fallback is now configurable in the Cosy 131 so you can do this with WIFI as well as Ethernet/Cellular.

You’ll need to update to FW version 12.3S0PR or later
