ESD failure on Anybus Compactcom Modbus/TCP

Hi,

We are having an issue with passing ESD using the Anybus Compactcom Modbus/TCP module. AB6213-B
We have the PE pad in our PCB but it looks like there is a 1MOhm resistor between the Ethernet shell and the PE pin on the anybus module. We do not see this resistance on other Compactcom modules we use.

Can you show us which points you’re measuring this 1MOhm resistance from?

Hi @kkarkala,

I just went through a variety of our compact coms and it looks like it is standard to have a 1M Ohm resistance between the PE and the shell. What seem to be the issues you’re running into with the ESD?
