I have been working with a HMS-EN2SE-R Ethernet to Serial Linking Device.

I have a problem with my data that is populating my tags in the PLC “Logix-5000” not being correct and or correct and offset. For example the slave device manual says the start address is 40001 to 40018 holds configuration data. Some of the data that populates my tags is incorrect such as device firmware should be 4.7 I’m receiving 350. All the correct and incorrect data is offset for example address 5 holds the sensor manufacture year, this is populating Tag 4 in the PLC.

When configure the HMS an attempt to do a Query and Response on an individual address I get the red light on 5 saying there is a Transaction error and or Timeout.

I feel there is something in the configuration of the HMS that is not properly setup, I just cant seem to pinpoint the cause. Let me know if I need to provide any screen shots and or more information.

Have you tried offsetting your addresses -1? The PLC is starting at address 0, so the Address 5 on the slave probably corresponds to register 4 on the PLC.
