Ewon cosy 131 eth NAT issue B&R

Hello,

I have the following setup:

  • a B&R plc on a local LAN having ip 192.168.10.15 (connected to port 2 of my cosy 131),
  • a B&R HMI having address 192.168.10.16 (connected to port 3 of my cosy 131)
  • the firms WAN connected to the WAN port 4 in my cosy 131 device
  • i have a RJ45 cable connecting my pc to port 1 of cpsy 131

The ewon device has internal ip 192.168.2.60 and WAN IP 192.168.5.44

I have perfomed a nat rule from 192.168.10.15 to 192.168.5. 45 so that i should be able to ping my plc from the clients LAN.

I have set the following parameters:
natift = 2
fwrdtowan = 1
wanitfprot = 2
wanIpPub =1

Unfortunately i am not able to ping this plc from the subnet 192.168.5.xx

Can someone please help me with this issue?

Hello @Serena,

Based on the description of your setup, looks like you have to change the LAN IP of your cosy to 192.168.10.x instead of 192.168.2.60 so you can communicate to your LAN devices (and actually be able to ping them) before you setup the NAT 1:1.

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards,
Juliana

hello Juliana,

sorry, it was a typo. The ewon has already an internal ip 192.168.10.60
Do you have any hints?

Hello @serena,

Can you please send us a backup with support files?

Also, you don’t necessarily need to enable WANPubIP to enable the NAT1:1.

Let’s see if we can spot the issue through the device logs.

Thansk,
Juliana

hello Juliana,
as attachment you will find the files.
Thank you for your cooperation

Hello @serena,

Thanks for the backup, but you forgot to check the “include support files” option while creating the backup on eBuddy, so unfortunately the backup you just sent has no logs. Can you please send me a new one? (With support files included this time).

Thanks in advance,
Juliana
