Ewon Flexy 205 Undef values

Hi,

I have a flexy attached to around 20 Modbus devices. If one of the devices goes offline I get an “undef” text string in the historical data, that is incompatible with the database field of where the data is getting uploaded. Is it possible to change this to a null value which would be infinitely more preferable as it is easier to allow null values for onward processing. I have seen a few posts on this topic but no real answers to it. I would be grateful for clarification

Hi @ShaunC,

You will get the “undef” text string when there is no data to log. I am not aware of a way to change this in the Ewon, but you might want to either create a post on the Ewon developer forum or a ticket at support.hms-networks.com to see if they have any suggestions for dealing with this problem. It would be nice if they made an option for this in the Flexy so you didn’t have to use another tool to replace them.
