Can an ewon Flexy 205 be used as a gateway for a S7-200 PLC?
Vendor needs to pass information from a S7-200 to a Compact Logics. I am told the S7 is using Profinet.
Yes, that should be possible using the Flexy’s ABLOGIX and PROFINET IO servers and a BASIC script to copy the tags.
You could also use the Anybus AB7649 if that’s all you need to do and don’t need the other features of the Flexy.
Would this also allow remote access to both the AB and Siemens PLC?
No, it’s just a gateway.
