How does one change the USB Vendor ID as referenced in the attached image?
What is the USB device are you using and why do you want to change that?
The desire is to use eCatcher to connect to the remote USB device which is a https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/hmi_(human_machine_interface)/c-more_touch_panels/c-more_touch_panels_ea9_series/c-more_ea9_series_touch_panels
The only reason we want to change the Vendor ID is because the eWON is indicating that perhaps we need to. The user cannot connect to the USB device successfully via eCatcher, but can when he plugs the USB device in directly to his laptop (no remote session via eCatcher).
Only the Vendor is going to be able to change the id. It looks like they forgot to do that in this case. But that is not the issue as far as the connection. Is there a reason you are trying to connect with USB and not Ethernet or serial?
The customer was trying to get creative with an OOBM solution, but has since resolved the issue, so no further investigation is necessary. Thanks Kyle.
