Hello HMS Team,
I am planning on using an Ewon Flexy 205 to acquire data from a PLC. In this case it is a ControlLogix PLC, but I have future applications with other PLCs (Siemens, Honeywell, etc.).
Cyber security is a common concern for my clients. If the PLC is configured as read-only, would the Flexy be able to log the data?
Second question (if allowed) would there be an alternative HMS device that offers more security?

If you’re looking for a list of compatible PLCs with the Flexy I can recommend visiting this page. It’s not to say that we can’t read other devices, but these devices have been verified to work.

If a PLC is in read only we should only be able to read from them and not write to them. If you’re concerned about security though, they may want to look at this page with our ISO and STAR certificates.
