Hi, i have two HMS-EN2SE-R in my Network Architecture, i want to connect a 5069-L306ER with two 1734-AENT across those HMS models, in one side the PLC is connect to the HMS, i convert to SERIAL RS485 and i convert again the protocol to ethernet IP in order to connect the Point I/O.
Is possible this connection?

This setup will not work with the HMS-EN2SE-R. The device need to be connected to a PLC using Ethernet/IP and cannot be connected to another HMS-EN2SE-R instead.

if i change the module HMS-EN2SE-R in the side of POINT I/O for an AB7072, Can work?
You may be able to make this work with very simple generic serial traffic (produce/consume), but it would not work for Modbus as both the EN2SE-R and AB7072 are masters, and Modbus masters cannot exchange data with other Modbus masters.
Why would you need a protocol translator to connect two Eth/IP devices like this? I don’t understand why that’s necessary.
