Hi - my HMS-EN2SE-R Ethernet/IP works well when connected directly to the PLC but doesn’t when going through a switch.
How can that be resolved?
Is the EN2SE-R responding to pings when you’re connected over the Ethernet switch? Have you tried swapping cables going to the device to see if that makes a difference?
Other devices communicate via that switch without a problem it’s just the HMS that faults. Not sure if we can ping it.
We had also tried a spare HMS with the same Result. Also dried a different switch without success.
Is there a special requirement when the HMS is connected to the device via a switch?

The linking device should work fine though a switch and doen’t need any special setup. The only issue i have seen with a switch is downloading a program to the device on a busy network. This can cause unstable downloads. Can you provide more details about what doesn’t work when you go though a switch? Does the device have a configuration?
Do you have the ability to mirror the port the linking device is connected to over to your PC? Can you provide a wireshark capture showing the communication traffic.
