Is it still true that there is no signed VCI V3 driver? Is there a supported LabView driver?

Hi,

Regarding the CAN to USB product:

Is it still true that there is no signed VCI V3 driver?
Is there a supported LabView driver?

Thanks,

We do have a beta Labview API for VCI V4, If you are interested in receiving this you can reach out to our support directly over phone (312-829-0601) or private message an HMS user on hms.how.

Once I have information on the official release I will provide it, thanks!

I wanted to add the following,

VCI V3 is not released / supported for Windows 10 with secure boot activated. Once we have completed the update it will be mandatory to use VCI V4 on Windows 10.

Hi @JohnM,

The VCI V3 drivers are signed. You can download the latest, 3.5.4, here: https://www.ixxat.com/support/file-and-documents-download/drivers/vci-v3-driver-download

There are not separate drivers for Labview. Integration is built into VCI V3. See:

Just to confirm: Does that mean these drivers will work now on a Win10 UEFI Safe Boot system? Or do we still need to turn off Safe Boot?

This matters for customers moving up from Win7. (Forced march from Microsoft.)

No. If you want to use UEFI Secure Boot you need to use VCI V4.

My colleague Shaun is working this. We’ve had some good luck/some bad luck (Blue Screens). I’ll get with him and get back to you.
