Issues Using Anybus X-Gateway AB7670-F with Fanuc robot and Siemens PLC

Hi I am working on communication between a Fanuc robot with (Ethernet I/O) and a Siemens PLC with (Profinet-IO). The robot is connected to a Ethernet to Profinet Anybus, that is then connected to a Siemens PLC. The all three are set up to send and receive 32 Bytes of Input and 32 Bytes of Output. The robot is not being allowed more than 8 bytes of Input data and 8 bytes of output data to send and receive from the PLC. We need to set up 32 bytes of IO to communicate with the PLC. The robot has the software option Etherent Adapter. We contacted Fanuc about the issue and they suggested that we try contacting Anybus about the issue. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Hello @Gage_McGrath,

What is telling you that it is only allowed 8 bytes? Is there an error message? I can’t think of anything on the any bus that would cause this type of issue besides the IO size being set to 8 bytes. Can you connect to the gateway with Anybus Configuration Manager and upload the config. to confirm the size.

Best Regards,
Deryck
