Migrating from Anybus-S

We are currently in the state of migrating our older products using Anybus-S modules (Profibus DPV1) to CompactCom B40 bricks.
I downloaded the starterkit software and had a look on it.
That is a massive more of software than we were used to handle for our products with the Anybus-S.
We just have to send and receive some bytes of data to/from a Profibus environment, our host processor is a small Microchip PIC24.
Is there any guideline for migrating Anybus-S to CompactCom or is this a totally different kind of beast ?
Is there any “small” example software for CompactCom B40, just handling simple Profibus communication, using the SPI between host and B40 ?

Thanks in advance

Hello, we can help you here but because of the time difference with us being based out of the America’s we’d recommend submitting this post to here: https://mysupport.hms.se

But going from an Anybus-S card to a CompactCom is going to be quite a bit of development work. We do starter code that has examples on communication over SPI though:
