No connection through external switch

Hi there.

I have a problem with one of our company flexy eWONs.

On one of the ports in the internal eWON switch is a Siemens industrial unmanaged switch plugged in.
All the gear behind the Siemens switch (PLC, HMI, vision cameras VNC pc etc.) is not accessible for more than a couple of minutes at a time. When it disconnects we have to unplug/plugin to being able to reconnect.

On the three other internal LAN ports we have PLCs directly pluggend in, and has no connection problems at all.

We recently upgraded from a cosy 3G eWON to the flexy 4G eWON. The connection never died on this one.

Am I missing something very simple here?

Hello Rasmus,

Are you only losing connection to that switch? The Siemens switch might be triggering loop or conflict protection. I would look into if the Siemens switch has a web page you can monitor. Have you tried another switch?

If you were losing connection the the other device connected to the ewon it could be an issue with EMI.

What firmware are you running? I recommend updating to the latest FW as there were some updates that improve the LAN stability.
