Ping NAT 1:1

Hello,

I have a problem with the NAT rule configuration.

I have a server on the WAN addressing plan
Example :
Server: 10.25.30.2/24
ewon WAN leg: 10.25.30.10/24

My LAN on the ewon is 192.168.10.250/24

I have just set up a NAT 1:1 rule on WAN

Route 1 : 192.168.10.251 (PC) => 10.25.30.17 (NAT PC)

From my server I can ping the virtual address in NAT 10.25.30.17 :slight_smile:

Impossible from the PC to ping 10.25.30.x !!!

Should we put a gateway between?
What parameter should we set to ping the WAN address from the LAN address?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The NAT 1:1 is for WAN devices to reach the LAN since you are mapping the device to the WAN. It does not allow a LAN device to reach WAN devices. So you will not be able to ping 10.25.30.x from the PC
