What are the possible ways to update the firmware in my ABCC / CompactCom module?
The most common way to update the firmware on an Anybus CompactCom module is to do it through FTP (if it supports Ethernet IT functionality).
The other way this can be done is using a development board such as the one depicted in this web page,

The firmware update is done through the connection to the host board in this case. This is the only option for some CompactCom units that do not have an Ethernet interface or IT functionality.
