Assertion Error

Hey I can’t seem to get rid of this and it appears to be ECatcher install related. I know it’s a Siemens thing but it was triggered by the Ewon software. Short of removing my Siemens software I went through a bunch of stuff with IT and no luck. I uninstalled eCatcher, reinstalled it and soon as it finished this pop-up came up right away; coincidence ? I don’t think so. Any chance your guys at eWon have a fix ?

You are correct that this error is due to the Siemens SIMATIC device drivers and VPNs.
It’s not specifically related to the eCatcher software itself.

This question has been asked before and we did provide some suggestions:

Disabling virtual net adapter
Updating NIC drivers
Updating SIMATIC Manager (STEP7)
Uninstalling STEP7

If the suggestions above do not resolve your issue then I would reach out to Siemens technical support as they should be more familiar with why their software is causing errors.
