Ewon 2005CD factory reset and configure

@anonpedwhumg
Hi Russell,

You can try to log in with the default settings

Username = adm
Password = adm

But if that doesn’t work you can factory reset the device following these instructions:

https://websupport.ewon.biz/sites/default/files/ig-001-0-en-ewon2005cd.pdf#[{"num"%3A115%2C"gen"%3A0}%2C{"name"%3A"XYZ"}%2C95%2C728.6%2C0]

In short, you are going to hold down that reset button while you power on the device and hold it for about 20 - 30 seconds or so, until the LED labelled “USR” is solid red, wait 90 seconds and then power cycle the device. Then you can log in with default credentials and reconfigure it.

You will need to download eBuddy (for configuring the ewon and upgrading the firmware) and eCatcher (the VPN client used to connect remotely) which you can get here:

The 2005CD is an older device, but you should be able to get it running using these getting started videos:

You will want to have your IT department look at the documents found at the link below, to make sure you will be able to access our VPN servers:
