Flexy's Internet Connection Dropping

I have a situation where there are multiple Flexy’s deployed and a dropping their internet connection to the servers on a daily basis. All at different times. All with different connections (4G Cellular, WIFI and Hard Wired).

Any idea what can be causing this?

Hey Robert,

Can you send us the backup.tar files with the support files included form eBuddy when you get the chance?

4G Cellular Events 06-06-2019.htm (274.0 KB)
WiFi Events 06-06-2019 (2).htm (277.0 KB)
Copper Events 06-06-2019.htm (274.7 KB)
WiFi Events 06-06-2019.htm (281.8 KB)

Hey Robert, it looks like these might be the ones that are grabbed from the eWON’s file transfer section. Unfortunately we don’t get as much debugging information through this way. Can you get the files this way?

Here are the Firmware Versions as well

  • 4G Cellular - 13.2s1
  • WiFi - 13.0s0
  • Copper - 12.2s1

Hi Robert,

If the include support files button isn’t clicked it doesn’t give us any of the event logs or debug info

maybe it would be easier if we jump on teamviewer and take a look at these devices? One thing I would recommend to start with though would be to upgrade all of the firmwares to 13.2s1 and change them from UDP to TCP

Hi Robert,

  • For the 176FT device,
it looks like it has a weak GSM signal. The minimum that we typically recommend is 18. Do you know if there’s anywhere they can move this device to try and give it a better signal? You could also change it so that it’s using TCP instead of UDP like the doc below.

  • For the 200FT device,
It looks like the WIFI network is kicking the device off. Either that or the wifi name/ wifi password have spaces or special characters in them. But in that case the device just usually won’t pass the internet wizard. Also we’d recommend that you upgrade to the newest firmware.

  • For the 234FT device,
This one looks like it doesn’t have an internet connection setup. Did you run through the internet wizard with this one?

  • For the 180FT device,
This one seems like it’s having the same issue as the 200FT device

It looks like we also have an update that fixes a security vulnerability in firmware 13.3. I’d strongly recommend updating all of your devices to this new firmware
